The counseling program at Venture High School assists students with their academic goals, career development and with their social and personal development.

Flight Plans

Flight Plans are held annually with the school counselor, student and parent. These plans assist students with academic and career goals. 

In this meeting, graduation requirement / credits are discussed, as well as future plans for post secondary education. Students who successfully complete their “Flight Plan,” a high quality portfolio of their work, and successful passage presentation will be well prepared for college and have the foundational skills that will lead to meaningful and successful lives and careers.

What services do our school counselors provide?

School Counselors can provide planned, short-term and goal-focused counseling. However, they do not provide therapy or long-term counseling in schools; they are prepared to recognize and respond to student mental health needs and to assist students and families seeking resources.
