Venture is very grateful for the amazing volunteer work completed by its parents. So many wonderful things that are accomplished could not be achieved without their service. Much of this is completed on an "as needed" basis between teachers/administration and parents. Service is also organized by Parent Crew.
The main objective of Parent Crew is to provide an organized way to volunteer to help with the needs identified by teachers and administration in support of achieving the mission and vision of Venture.
The Parent Crew Tasks & Purposes:
Tasks
- recruit volunteers and coordinate volunteer efforts to assist with school needs.
- assist teachers if asked in finding and engaging community experts in the education of our students.
- enhance the quality of education by raising funds for needed equipment and resources targeted by administration and teachers.
- provide feedback to administration on the progress of Parent Crew projects and collaborative work.
- support extracurricular and school spirit activities as determined in consultation with teachers and administration.
Purpose
- contribute to positive communication and working relationships among parents, school administration, teachers, and the community.
- provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s school and educational process.
- support the goal of each family volunteering 30 hours per year.
