AES Engineer's Scholarship
This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. To apply, students will submit an essay of 500 - 1000 words. This is the topic for this year:

When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

Youthlinc Service Year
Are you looking for a nine month service opportunity?  Students can sign up to plan projects to improve the lives of individuals in impoverished villages across seven developing nations for two weeks next summer.  They will also become relied upon volunteers in their own community and attend monthly meetings where they are mentored by adult professionals to take leadership roles in a variety of service initiatives.

Students are selected to represent their high school in each of the following areas:

Selection is based on scholarship, leadership, and citizenship. Teachers will be reaching out to Seniors that are being nominated to represent Venture High School.

United States Senate Youth Program
The eligibility requirements for your school's student representative are:

  • Resident of the State of Utah
  • High school junior or senior
  • Elected student government officer or Elected/selected (by a panel, commission, or board) student representative to district, regional or state-level civic or education organization
  • May not have previously been a delegate to the program
  • Must be able to attend the 56th Annual U.S. Senate Youth Program in Washington D.C. from March 2-9, 2018
  • Must be interested in and knowledgeable about government and politics

Utah will choose two students at the state competition to send to Washington for a week in March where they will each receive a $5,000 scholarship. They must be able to go to Washington to receive the scholarship.

The House Method Commitment to Our Homes Scholarship
House Method is committed to improving our homes to make them safer, more efficient, more sustainable, beautiful and functional. We believe that those committed to doing the work of bettering our homes deserve to be honored in their pursuits. 


  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Submit an essay of NO MORE than 1,000 words that answers the questions:  How do you hope to improve the way people live in their homes??
  • Applicants must use a school or university email and provide proof of enrollment
