Symantec Software Scholarship
Applicants must create and enter a software-based science project into a Utah regional science fair. Applicants are selected to compete in a Utah regional science fair by qualifying in both the school and district science fairs. Students must register as a Symantec Software scholarship participant when they enter the regional science fair. Participants do not have to win at the regional science fair level, but they must compete at this level to be chosen for a Symantec Software Scholarship.

Carefully review Symantec Scholarship Rules and Regulations so that you can be certain that your project idea meets the Symantec Software Scholarship requirements. Be selected to compete in a Utah regional science fair, for high school grades 9-12, by qualifying in both your school and district science fairs. Enter your project into one of the following regional science fairs:

  • Richey Science Fair (Weber State University)
  • Salt Lake Science and Engineering Fair (University of Utah)
  • Central Utah Science and Engineering Fair (Brigham Young University)
  • Southern Utah Science and Engineering Fair (Southern Utah University)

Hunt Electric Merit Scholarship
This award has been created to reward a driven, hard-working individual with aspirations and intentions of joining the electrical industry by undergoing the necessary training and post-secondary education to become a Journeyman Electrician.

  • Candidate must have or be on track to earn their high school diploma
  • earned a minimum of a 2.5 GPA at the time of high school graduation
  • proven above average attendance throughout their secondary schooling
  • been free of corrective action measures from the administration
  • demonstration of merit, by endorsement of CTE Administration, a notable, positive work ethic and overall effort given in achieving their personal and scholastic goals
  • displayed positive leadership skills in their high school activities and community involvement
  • ability to pass a back-ground check and post-employment offer drug screen

Huntington Learning Center Scholarship
At Huntington Learning Center, they strive to work to accomplish their mission to provide every student the best education possible.  Prepping for the ACT/SAT and various subject exams is a big part of your students' success and they want to help.  They are offering a $4,000 scholarship to help fulfill student's academic dreams!

Miss Teen and Miss Utah International Pageant
These pageants have just announced that every contestant for 2017 will be awarded a $3000 scholarship to Renaissance Academie, regardless of how they place.  Also, over $86,000 in scholarships and prizes will be divided up among the winners and runners-up.  The pageant heavily focuses on volunteer work and last year, the contestants spent over 1,400 hours representing their city at the state pageant.

Summer of Service 
UServeUtah...One day, one week, one summer at a time!
Summer of Service is Utah's statewide initiative to celebrate and mobilize youth ages 5-25 to make a meaningful difference in their local communities by volunteering June 1 to August 31.
Prizes are awarded monthly based on a minimum of 10 hours served and a video or photo with story submitted.

NROTC - Naval Reserve Office Training Corps
The NROTC scholarship is offered through the University of Utah and Westminster. There is no obligation to join until the 2nd year of school. Applicants can major in any field. This scholarship was established to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the unrestricted line Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve.

Build-A-Bear Workshop Huggable Heroes
There are many pawesome kids doing great things to help others and we want to hear about them! We will award 10 young people each a $7,500.00 prize for their outstanding community service - a $5,000 college scholarship and a 42,500 donation to their special 501(c)(3) or a registered Canadian or UK charity cause. 

Tell us about the Huggable Hero you know or nominate yourself! You will need to complete several short answer questions about: what cause your nominee supports; what they have done for their cause; examples of their impact or accomplishments; how many hours they volunteer each month; and how much money they have raised and/or how many items have been collected for their cause.

ITT Tech Opportunity Scholarship
The primary purpose of the Opportunity Scholarship (the "OS") is to encourage certain students to commit to pursuing their educational goals. The OS is only available to eligible students attending classes at an ITT Technical Institute in:

  • an Associate Degree program of study or
  • a Bachelor Degree program of study
