About Mrs. Cowles:

This is Mrs. Cowles’s 7th year at Venture High and in Utah in general. Mrs. Cowles grew up on a lake in Michigan enjoying everything from water skiing to kayaking to swimming. She has continued her love for adventure in the mountains skiing, hiking, backpacking, and climbing.
Mrs. Cowles attended Grand Valley State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in math with a minor in chemistry. While at GVSU she participated on the water ski team in 3 event skiing and placed in the top ten in the Midwest for slalom and jump. She was also a resident assistant for three years managing a floor of 75 college students and planning events for communities of over 500 students.
Mrs. Cowles is a big traveler who spent time teaching in Tanzania, road tripping across the United States, and vacationing in New Zealand, England, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, France, Costa Rica, and Australia. Mrs. Cowles loves spending time with her husband, Zach and their two dogs, Molly and Odin.
