Why are Venture Academy teachers so amazing?  

Venture Academy Teachers must hold a current teaching license in Utah (or begin the reciprocation process prior to hire).  Candidates must be endorsed in the areas of instruction necessary for the position, embrace student-centered instructional strategies, and be willing to participate in professional development over the summer as well as during the school year. 

Teacher develop expeditions including fieldwork, experts, service, and high-quality final products aligned to state and national standards.  Teachers also develop two week long workshop-style courses called "intensives".  

Successful Venture Academy teachers must be passionate, organized, work well with a team, and have experience in project management.  Venture Academy teachers are not dependent on textbooks, believe in the power of revision, and hold students accountable to achieve excellence.
